Savannah Savannah von Poetry is Seona’s first foal, born May 10, 2005. Savannah was second premium at her foal judging as a weanling and 2nd premium and Preliminary Ster at her 3 year old judging. At this time she is preparing to take the FPZV Ster test which is a performance test under saddle performing a 1st Level Dressage Test and/or a Dressage Competition Driving test. We are confident that she will pass these tests because of her willingness, trainability and beautiful gaits.
Savannah’s sire is Tinus PM out of Jills 306. Tinus became an approved FPZV breeding stallion in 1999. Tinus is considered one of the most accomplished Friesian stallions in the United States in the sport of dressage. In 2000 he was USDF National Champion 2nd Level, in 2001 USDF Horse of the Year shown by Sabine Shut-Kerry as well as USDF National Champion 3rd Level, in 2006 USDF National Champion 4th Level and USDF National Champion Prix St Georges. Tinus has won First Place in 17 consecutive individual rides. Savannah has inherited many of his atturbutes and her foals are going to benefit from Tinus’s natural Dressage abilities.
Savannah’s dam is our foundation Ster mare Seona v. V. whose sire is Aswyn van de Pluum Elite/Preferent Approved FPZV stallion. Aswyn has a record of over 165 duly registered by KFPS and FPZV premium offspring. Aswyn van de Pluum has sired five FPZV approved breeding Stallions and was awarded the prestigious 'Preferent Stallion' status in March 2003 and was entered into the 'Elite' Stallion book. He has also received the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' for his outstanding Progeny Record. Two of Aswyn’s approved sons are Wyn de Pluum v.V.and Foster v.V. both full brothers to Seona v.V.
As soon as “Vanna” hit the ground we knew she was the next quality broodmare for our farm. She is now an approved breeding mare and she is bred to “Tim” of Royal Palm Friesians for an April 2010 foal. We have no doubt that this foal is going to be magnificent. |
